This Thyme Infused Pork Stir-Fry in Yoghurt recipe is so quick and easy, it literally only has two steps to it. However, we like to add a third step: enjoy your delicious meal!
Stir-fry in general always goes rather fast, so be prepared before turning on that heat. Prep all your ingredients by slicing them up and having them nearby. For this recipe we will be using pork strips, however, beef stips will work just as well, and will be equally delicious!
What You Need For This Pork Stir-Fry
- Pork strips
- Fresh green pepper
- A large onion
- Greek or plain yoghurt
- Soy sauce
- Coconut oil
- Fresh thyme
Try slicing the green pepper and onion in longer strips, rather than dicing or chopping them up. This will give them the same shape as the pork strips.
And of course, the fresher the thyme, the better! Even though the thyme is only used as a garnish, once it is mixed in with the pork stir-fry, you really want that thyme flavour to pop and compliment the pork.
Greek or Plain Yoghurt…That Is The Question
Whichever you prefer! The main difference between the two types of yoghurt is texture. Should you use greek yoghurt in the pork stir-fry, your sauce will be a bit thicker. Whereas if you use plain yoghurt, your sauce might be a bit runnier. Either way, when mixed in with the soy sauce, the desired taste will still be accomplished.
We suggest enjoying this thyme-infused pork stir-fry on a bed of rice. If you are cooking fresh rice for the meal, remember to start at least 20 minutes earlier. This way, all the components should be ready at the same time for you to dish up a delicious, hot meal.
