Indie rockers Everything Everything played to a 1,000-strong crowd this weekend at the first ever UK Goose Island LDN Block Party at RED Market in East London.
The Mercury Prize nominated band treated fans to an energetic set, playing tracks from their critically acclaimed album Get to Heaven, including ‘Distant Past’ and ‘Regret’.
They were supported by hotly tipped female-fronted rock ‘n’ roll four-piece Black Honey and alternative pop-duo Little White Things who completed the lineup to provide an awesome indie-electronica sound straight out of Shoreditch.
The event, held over the same weekend as its Chicago namesake, saw the spirit of Chicago descend on to East London, as beer lovers enjoyed an assortment of local street food and great beers, including award-winning Goose IPA, Honkers Ale and 312 Urban Wheat Ale. Rare brews and limited edition batches were also served up, including 2013 Bourbon County Stout and Vans Golden Lager, a one-off collaboration between Goose Island and the legendary shoe maker.
