From Neon Nettle
Have you ever wondered what a private party with 50 Cent might cost, or perhaps a bash with Bruce Springsteen?
A leaked list from a popular booking agency has revealed artist rates suggested by agents per-show, with acts from $1,000 to over $1 million a gig exposed. The prices are not carved in stone of course and are very much dependent on how high profile a gig is and the type of venue being used, but it gives a good indication as to which bands make what per show.
In the millionaire club we find acts such as Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen, Justin Bieber and Justin Timberlake amongst others. If you’re only willing to splash about half of that then you might just be able to afford Bruno Mars, Green Day or Kanye West.
For those with a squeezed budget of $50k or less you’ll be left to settle with the likes of JET, Paolo Nutini and The Temper Trap, although the cost of an act seems to bear little correspondents to the quality of music on display. Ben Folds, Arctic Monkeys and even Busta Rhymes come in at under $100k while an evening with Katy Perry and Lady Gaga will cost you more than half a million!
