Prison population down 2% in a week

More than 13,000 people have arrived in the UK after making the journey so far this year.
Duncan Lewis Solicitors said the detainees had been granted immigration bail in the wake of court hearings.
The latest figures also show over 125,000 migrants have made the journey in the last five years.
Children were among those pictured being brought ashore in Dover, Kent, on Tuesday.
The Home Office said a series of operations took place across the country this week.
The first plane carrying asylum seekers could depart in July.
Three men, a woman and a girl were killed trying to make the crossing, according to the French coastguard.
