The Duke of Northumberland’s estate company has sparked fears that seven blocks of flats could replace two thirds of the Isleworth Allotment Gardens, which have been used by locals to grow their own food for over a century.

“Soon, they will be brought under the regime of an increasingly digitised and aggressive hostile environment,” activists have warned.

“Brexit means Brexit” could be explained as “Brexit means you might have to punch someone if you need to partake in a shit”.

The UK information commissioner said official records must be kept for key decisions in order to ensure government accountability and transparency.

“You should be immensely proud of your service. I am grateful for your support and believe that your contribution to public service is far from over,” Boris Johnson said.

"It feels like the government are laughing at us," one person said.

Matt Hancock’s resignation comes after several Tory MPs joined calls for him to quit.

He said he could not condone Hancock’s behaviour “in any shape”.

"When even Matt Hancock doesn’t play by the rules, it’s time to say #EnoughIsEnough," one person said.
