"People, and I think our constituents, want to see us getting on with the job," the deputy prime minister insisted.
“If these proposals involve changing the law in devolved policy areas, then pressing ahead without the consent of the Scottish parliament would demonstrate yet again the UK government’s intent to undermine devolution," a senior Scottish minister has said.
The SNP leader said - again and again - that Johnson had "wilfully misled Parliament", before being tossed out by the Speaker.
"We have a government plane to conduct government business in the way that all major nations do and I think that’s right and appropriate," top Treasury official Simon Clarke has said in defence of Truss.
