Call the FeLine! Cat lovers are finally getting their wish.
New York City now boasts multiple places where you can dine with your favorite feline.
From adoptable fur balls such as Chewy, Lola, Marley, and Willow, these feline cafes pack some serious fur.
“New York City is a place chock-full of animal lovers,” said Blair Nicole of TopView Sightseeing, the hop-on, hop-off bus sightseeing company. “It seemed only appropriate to honor them!”
Here are three cafes where you can enjoy a drink and treat, spend quality time with a sweet fur ball, and maybe even walk out with a new best friend!
Meow Parlour
The way to a feline lover’s heart is definitely at a place where you can enjoy food and beverages, rent time to play with fur balls, and adopt a new friend through a nonprofit division. Located on Hester Street, Meow Parlour will feature more than furballs in a tranquil environment. The kitten kingdom is also proud to offer tasty drinks and baked goods provided by its sister company Macaron Parlour. To get cat time, sign up for the relaxing Yoga & Kitties Class or a fun night of Drag Bingo. Before you leave the cafe, don’t forget to shop for some meow-swag like tote bags and various clothing articles.
Koneko
If you’re into snuggling cute kittens while enjoying an extensive menu of Japanese-infused treats and drinks, then Koneko is the purrrfect spot for a great time in the city. Since there is more feline lovers than there is space in Koneko, you’ll need to reserve a spot online to ensure that you aren’t turned away.
It’ll only cost you $20 per an hour to enter the kitty paradise. If you meet a new best friend while you’re there, you’ll be able to take the little fur ball with you as the café has partnered with Anjellicle Cats Rescue to find homes for the at-risk kittens.
Did we mention that there’s a Kitty Brunch on Thursdays and Fridays from 11am-2pm? If you attend the brunch, you’ll get admission to the Cattery and the option to choose an item and beverage from the breakfast menu, all for $25. Absolutely Purr-ific.
The Brooklyn Cat Cafe
Don’t miss out on an hour of playtime with some adorable rescue kittens at this café that is situated on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, New York.
After an hour of cuddling with the cute fur balls on the weekend, make sure to check out the yoga classes where you can stretch your body with some feline observers.
If you’re feeling a little hungry while you’re playing, they’ve got the cure. The café sells scrumptious packaged drinks and treats with vegan and vegetarian options. The best news of all is that your children can enjoy the felines too as long as they are accompanied by an adult.
Feeling charitable? Donate to the adoptable feline’s emergency dental fund or give money to the café’ itself. Don’t forget that you can always adopt a cute fur ball to take home!
Dog Lovers Rejoice!
Feline cafes are not the only places where you can spend quality time with your pet. After a while of waiting, New York City is finally home to its very first dog cafe.
Set in the East Village, Boris & Horton will be the place to get your puppy fix, but it’s not necessarily designed for dogs to run around freely. Contrary to most feline cafes, this new pet spot will require that you bring your own furry friend. While one side of the dog cafe will be for ordering a yummy beverage or snack, the other side is where you’ll get to eat and spend time with your four legged friend.
