Leicester City star winger Riyad Mahrez missed a fourth day of training, prompting further speculation about the Algerian’s relationship with the club he helped launch into the Premier League and come top two seasons after.
The Foxes’ star striker had made a transfer request to Man City this week but their £60 million offer was turned down.
The Premier League leaders pulled out of talks on Deadline Day when it became clear that Leicester City would not accept less than £80 million for their star who won PFA player of the year 2015 – 2016 the year Leicester finished top of the Premiership.
Rumours abound as to Mahrez’s whereabouts now and whether he had permission not to turn up to training yet again with his team mates.
And it is a mystery when the forward will rejoin his team having missed this week’s Leicester defeat at Everton.
Mahrez had sat out the match before when Leicester beat Peterborough 5 – 1.
And manager Claude Puel today announced that the striker that the club had been asking for a £95 million package for will now be absent on this Saturday’s tough match against Swansea.
Leicester are under no pressure to sell their legend who they hope will be back on form soon, having rebuffed previous attempts by Arsenal and Roma to buy Mahrez too.
