Rosewood London is an interesting five-star hotel in a very interesting building, the monumental Grade II listed former headquarters of the Prudential Assurance Company on High Holborn. Somewhat under the radar among the many luxury hotels in London I often recommend it to visitors and would recommend popping in even if just for a drink to anyone interested in London architecture.
Rosewood has decided to mark its 10-year anniversary it is putting on a series of events which it describes as commemorating the property’s affinity to fashion, art and food in a series of unique and innovative partnerships.
As part of this, Rosewood London’s chef team will welcome a short residence from a culinary masterpiece from across the globe. Rosewood Hong Kong is the home of Michelin-starred CHAAT and they are sending chefs to take over the iconic Holborn Dining Room for an exclusive three-night pop-up from Tuesday October 10th to Thursday October 12th.
This will provide an opportunity to sample Chef Gaurav of CHAAT’s take on the vibrant street food and homemade classics of India. His award-winning menu will feature famed items such as Tandoori Wagyu Beef Cheek with Hung yoghurt, Kashmiri chilli and cinnamon, an aromatic Malabar Fish Curry, a rich and creamy Old Delhi Butter Chicken, and fragrant Hyderabadi Vegetable Biryani, among others.
This sounds like it could be very interesting and let’s face it, here in London we cannot have enough great Indian chefs!
Bookings can be made through the hotel and the usual apps and websites.
