Lisa Nandy has received plaudits for a powerful speech on Suella Braverman’s controversial multiculturalism claims.
The home secretary warned of what she sees as an “existential threat” of uncontrolled migration as she called for reform of international refugee rules.
She argued the “misguided dogma of multiculturalism” had “failed because it allowed people to come to our society and live parallel lives in it”.
Braverman suggested it has allowed them to “pursue lives aimed at undermining the stability and threatening the security of our society”.
But in a rip-roaring Question Time speech, Nandy put those claims to bed, saying the only thing that has failed in Britain is the Conservative government.
