The former and current Mayors of London are set to lock horns at Wembley in front of 6,000 people in a live debate on Europe.
Labour Mayor Sadiq Kahn will face the former Conservative Mayor Boris Johnson just hours before the country goes to the polls.
According to The Standard, the debate will see each side of the argument advocated by three speakers at the event on June 21, to be broadcast on BBC One at 8pm. It will be hosted by David Dimbleby, Emily Maitlis and Mishal Husain.
Johnson said: “It’s vital the people of this country hear the arguments and hear the advocates on both sides of the debate. We hope to prove to the people of this country why a vote to leave is a rejection of fear that will bring independence and liberation for the UK.”
Khan added: “I’m looking forward to taking on Boris over Brexit and anyone else the Leave campaign chooses to be at Wembley. I’ll passionately make the positive and patriotic case for remaining in the EU – in the best interest of London and the rest of the country.”
